Position: Deputy Finance Manager
Educational & Professional Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related discipline.
- Professional qualification CPA / ACCA / CA (or equivalent) is strongly preferred.
Experience
- Minimum 35 years of progressive experience in finance or accounting within a QCB-regulated exchange house bank or financial institution.
- Proven experience in financial reporting and regulatory compliance.
- Hands-on involvement in year-end closing audits and regulatory submissions.
Technical & Regulatory Knowledge
- Strong working knowledge of International Accounting Standards (IAS/IFRS).
- Sound understanding of Qatar Central Bank (QCB) regulations regulatory reporting requirements and compliance frameworks.
- Experience in implementing and monitoring internal controls and financial policies.
- Practical exposure to foreign currency transactions liquidity management and exchange house operations is an advantage.
Financial & Analytical Skills
- Strong capability in financial analysis variance analysis budgeting and forecasting.
- Experience in preparing management reports.
Systems & Digitalization
- Proficient in ERP systems and financial software.
- Practical understanding of finance digitalization automated reporting and process improvement initiatives.
Leadership & Operational Skills
- Demonstrated ability to supervise finance teams review work output and ensure adherence to deadlines.
- Capability to mentor junior staff and manage daily finance operations effectively.
- Proven ability to act as Finance Manager delegate during absences ensuring continuity of operations and approvals.
Personal & Professional Competencies
- High level of accuracy attention to detail and analytical thinking.
- Ability to work under tight regulatory and reporting deadlines independently.
- Strong organizational time-management and multitasking skills.
Language & Communication
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Arabic language skills are an advantage.
