Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Junior Testing Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manual testing processes with a keen eye for identifying issues and ensuring high-quality software delivery. Experience in automation testing using Cypress is a plus but not mandatory. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements develop test strategies and execute test plans to guarantee the quality of our products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design develop and execute detailed test plans test cases and test scripts for new and existing features.
- Conduct manual functional regression and integration testing to ensure high-quality releases.
- Work closely with developers business analysts and product managers to clarify requirements and define test scenarios.
- Identify document and track software defects and inconsistencies using bug-tracking tools (e.g. JIRA).
- Provide detailed test reports and communicate test progress results and defect status.
- Ensure adherence to testing standards and best practices.
- Collaborate with the QA team to explore and implement automation solutions.
- (Optional) Develop and maintain automation scripts using Cypress for UI and API testing.
- Continuously improve the testing process and contribute to the overall product quality.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or related field.
- 1 years of experience in software testing.
- Strong experience in manual testing of web and mobile applications.
- Proficiency in creating comprehensive test plans and test cases.
- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies and working in Agile teams.
- Experience with bug-tracking and test management tools like JIRA TestRail etc.
- Excellent analytical problem-solving and communication skills.
Preferred/Optional Skills:
- Hands-on experience with Cypress for automation testing (UI and API).
- Basic understanding of scripting languages such as JavaScript.
- Familiarity with continuous integration (CI/CD) tools like Jenkins or GitLab CI/CD.
- Exposure to performance testing tools (e.g. JMeter) is a plus.
