The HSE Engineer is responsible for implementing and monitoring Health Safety and Environmental (HSE) policies and procedures at site level. The role ensures compliance with legal and company standards supports risk management activities and promotes a strong safety culture across operations.
MAIN TASKS
- Implement and maintain the site HSE Management System in line with company standards and regulatory requirements
- Participate in the investigation of accidents incidents and near misses
- Constantly keep employees and sub-contractors aware of the risks with a strong daily presence on site.
- Communicate safety Flashes.
- Lead & control update of the plant Risk assessment.
- Maintain incident records and prepare reports.
- Attend pre-job safety meeting on special jobs (Confined space - Working at height -.)
- Control update of the Safety precautions on the SMP & SOP.
- Lead & Control Inspection of workshop equipment (Drilling machines - Grinders - Discs....).
- Communicate & Lead implementation of Recognition & Fair sanction policy.
- Control & applies safety equipment inspection (Daily Monthly) and submit monthly inspection report.
- Lead & control the periodic lifting inspection schedule (Accessories & Equipment).
- Control & applies Accreditation and awareness system.

Requirements
Experience-
- From 3 to 5 years in the same field
Education-
- Bachelors degree in engineering Mechanical/Electrical
Qualifications-
- Principles practices and applicable equipment related to industrial safety hygiene and hazardous waste management
- Standard occupational hazards including accident analysis and prevention techniques
- Ability to understand and analyze complex information and present it simply and accurately Attention to detail
- A flexible approach to work
- Physical fitness if your work will involve time on large-scale plants or on outdoor sites
- Leadership and communication skills
- Must be Oman resident
- Certified NEBOSH/ IOSH/ ISO 14001
- Must have driving license.

Required Skills:
3 to 5 years of relevant experience in a similar role in the Health Safety and Environment function preferably in a similar industry. Experience in quality function will be advantageous. Management Systems (HSE)
