HSSE Specialist (Facilities Management)
We are seeking a seasoned HSSE (Health Safety Security and Environment) Specialist to oversee and enhance our safety protocols across a diverse portfolio of managed facilities. The ideal candidate will be a proactive leader capable of balancing rigorous compliance with the fast-paced operational demands of the Facilities Management (FM) industry.
Key Responsibilities
Safety Leadership: Develop implement and maintain comprehensive HSSE management systems tailored to FM operations.
Risk Mitigation: Conduct regular site audits risk assessments and Job Safety Analyses (JSA) for maintenance cleaning and technical sub-contractors.
Compliance: Ensure all site activities adhere to local regulations international standards (ISO 9001) and client-specific safety requirements.
Incident Management: Lead investigations into near-misses or accidents identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Training & Culture: Design and deliver HSSE induction programs and specialized training (e.g. Working at Heights LOTO Chemical Handling) for on-site staff.
Emergency Preparedness: Oversee fire safety systems evacuation drills and emergency response plans across all managed assets.
Candidate Requirements
Experience: A minimum of 7 years of professional experience in the HSSE field.
FM Expertise: At least 2 years of dedicated experience within the Facilities Management sector (managing multi-site operations commercial towers or residential complexes).
Education: Bachelor’s degree (BSc) or a recognized Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety Engineering or a related field.
Certifications: Must possess relevant professional certifications such as NEBOSH IGC IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent local regulatory licenses.
Technical Skills: Deep understanding of Permit to Work (PTW) systems hazard identification and environmental impact assessments.
Preferred Skills
Strong communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
Analytical mindset for tracking HSSE KPIs and generating detailed safety reports.
Proficiency in HSSE software and MS Office Suite.
