Driver – Job Description
Job Summary
A Driver is responsible for transporting passengers goods or materials safely and efficiently while following traffic laws and company policies. The role requires reliability good driving skills and basic vehicle maintenance knowledge.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate company vehicles safely to transport people or goods
- Follow assigned routes and schedules to ensure timely delivery or pickup
- Adhere to traffic rules and safety regulations at all times
- Perform daily vehicle inspections (fuel oil brakes tires lights)
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and ensure proper functioning
- Report accidents damages or mechanical issues promptly
- Keep records of trips fuel usage and mileage
- Assist with loading and unloading items when required
- Maintain professional conduct with passengers and customers
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Valid driving license (Light or Heavy depending on role)
- Proven experience as a driver (company delivery or personal)
- Good knowledge of local routes and traffic regulations
- Ability to use GPS/navigation apps
- Basic vehicle troubleshooting knowledge
- Strong sense of responsibility and punctuality
- Good communication skills (basic English preferred in GCC)
Preferred Requirements (GCC/Qatar)
- Familiarity with roads and locations in Doha
- Clean driving record with no major violations
- Experience in logistics corporate or family driving roles
- Flexibility for long hours or shift work
Work Environment
- Logistics companies corporate offices construction sites or private households
- May involve long driving hours and outdoor conditions
- Shift-based or on-call duties depending on employer
