Role Overview

We are seeking a high-calibre Regional Commercial Director to spearhead sales and commercial activities across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. This pivotal leadership role involves translating global commercial strategies into actionable regional plans to drive revenue growth market expansion and sustained profitability.

The successful candidate will act as the primary bridge between global leadership and regional sales teams ensuring rigorous pipeline management strategic account development and the successful delivery of major commercial opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Regional Strategy Execution: Convert global commercial objectives into localised sales plans; coordinate multi-market initiatives to ensure a unified and consistent approach across the MENA region.
  • Performance Management: Oversee General Managers of Sales across various territories. Regularly review sales forecasts pipeline health and project milestones to ensure all regional targets are met or exceeded.
  • Strategic Account Management: Directly support the negotiation and closure of high-value regional contracts and major infrastructure projects. Cultivate long-term relationships with key clients consultants and EPC contractors.
  • Market Expansion: Proactively identify emerging business opportunities and industrial sectors. Develop and lead market entry strategies for new geographies within the region.
  • Commercial Governance: Enforce strict adherence to pricing strategies contract governance and risk management policies. Monitor margin performance to ensure commercial discipline is maintained across all operations.
  • Leadership & Coaching: Provide strategic direction and mentorship to regional sales leadership. Focus on talent development succession planning and elevating the overall capability of the sales organisation.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Education: Bachelors Degree in Engineering or a relevant Commercial/Business discipline.
  • Industry Experience: 15 years of progressive experience in sales or commercial roles within the industrial manufacturing or infrastructure sectors.
  • Leadership: Minimum of 810 years in a senior leadership capacity managing large-scale commercial operations.
  • Geographic Scope: Proven track record of managing commercial activities across multiple MENA markets.
  • Sector Expertise: Deep understanding of industrial projects EPC contractors and large-scale infrastructure environments.

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Commercial Acumen: Demonstrate strong financial awareness with the consistent ability to manage complex revenue and margin targets.
  • Negotiation: Exhibit expert-level ability to navigate influence and close high-stakes complex regional contracts.
  • Strategic Thinking:Maintain the ability to synthesise high-level global goals into practical localised execution plans.
  • Market Insight: Possess comprehensive knowledge of the MENA industrial landscape and regional competitive dynamics.
  • Leadership: Prove the ability to lead mentor and inspire diverse multi-country commercial teams.
  • Communication: Utilise exceptional stakeholder management skills operating effectively across various cultures and business levels.
