Job description
Woodston Personnel are seeking an experienced and accomplished Associate Consultant - Pediatric Intensive Care (PICU) to join a prestigious hospital in Saudi Arabia. The Associate Consultant is responsible for delivering high-quality patient-centred care to critically ill infants children and adolescents. The role involves working as part of a multidisciplinary team to assess diagnose and manage complex cases requiring intensive care while supporting senior consultants and contributing to service development teaching and clinical governance.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive medical care to patients admitted to the PICU
Perform clinical assessments develop management plans and ensure timely interventions
Manage critically ill patients requiring advanced life support ventilation and organ support
Participate in ward rounds handovers and emergency response teams
Liaise with families regarding patient condition treatment plans and prognosis
Work closely with nursing staff respiratory therapists pharmacists and allied health professionals
Coordinate care with other specialties such as paediatrics surgery cardiology and anaesthesiology
Ensure continuity of care across departments and during patient transfers
Supervise and support junior doctors interns and medical students
Contribute to teaching sessions case discussions and simulation training
Participate in continuing professional development (CPD)
Engage in audit research and quality improvement initiatives
Adhere to hospital policies clinical guidelines and best practices
Support risk management and patient safety strategies
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
Participate in rota planning and service delivery improvements
Assist in policy development and departmental meetings
Full time contracts with excellent renumeration and benefits available

Job requirements
MBBS or equivalent medical qualification
US Board/ FRCS - Irish UK Canadian New Zealand or Australian/ Diploma dEtudes Specialises (DES)/ CIS French Board/ Fachart & Sub- Board/ Fellowship / Board / Fellowship / Sweden / Belgium / Finland / Spain
Eligible for consultant licensure with the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS)
