Job description
Woodston Personnel have an excellent opportunity for a Consultant Urologist in Renal Transplantation role with our client in KSA. The Consultant is a senior specialist responsible for providing comprehensive surgical and clinical care for patients undergoing kidney transplantation. The role involves performing renal transplant procedures managing complex urological conditions in transplant recipients and contributing to multidisciplinary transplant care including donor evaluation and recipient follow-up. The consultant will work closely with nephrologists transplant surgeons anesthesiologists and allied health professionals to ensure high-quality patient-centered care and optimal transplant outcomes. The role also includes responsibilities in teaching research clinical governance and service development.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform kidney transplant surgeries including living donor and deceased donor transplantation.
Provide perioperative and postoperative care for renal transplant recipients.
Manage urological complications related to kidney transplantation (e.g. ureteric complications urinary obstruction infections).
Assess and manage complex urological conditions in patients with end-stage renal disease (ESRD).
Participate in transplant assessment clinics for donor and recipient evaluation.
Provide expert consultation to nephrology and transplant teams on urological issues affecting transplant candidates or recipients.
Participate in emergency and elective urology services as part of the consultant rota.
Participate in transplant multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings.
Collaborate with nephrologists transplant coordinators radiologists pathologists and intensive care specialists.
Support coordinated care pathways for transplant patients from evaluation through long-term follow-up.
Contribute to the development and expansion of renal transplant services.
Support implementation of evidence-based clinical pathways and transplant protocols.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives audits and clinical governance activities.
Assist in development of transplant-related policies and procedures.
Provide teaching and supervision to urology trainees surgical residents fellows and medical students.
Participate in educational programs and training related to transplant surgery and urology.
Support continuing professional development within the department.
Participate in clinical research related to renal transplantation and urology.
Contribute to publications presentations and academic collaborations.
Support innovation in transplant techniques and patient care.

Job requirements
MBBS or equivalent medical qualification
US Board/ FRCS - Irish UK Canadian New Zealand or Australian/ Diploma dEtudes Specialises (DES)/ CIS French Board/ Fachart & Sub- Board/ Fellowship / Board / Fellowship / Sweden / Belgium / Finland / Spain
Must have at least 3-5years of post-consultant or senior specialist experience
Eligible for consultant licensure with the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS)
