Job Description:
We are seeking a detailoriented and technically skilled Sonde Technician for one of our leading clients in the oil & gas sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for the assembly testing calibration and maintenance of sonde tools and downhole sensors used in wireline operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble and test sonde tools used in wireline and logging operations.
- Calibrate and maintain downhole sensors and associated electronics.
- Prepare tools for deployment and monitor performance during field operations.
- Troubleshoot and repair faulty sondes in both field and workshop environments.
- Validate sensor output and telemetry signals to ensure data accuracy.
- Maintain accurate records of tool usage calibration and service history.
- Ensure full compliance with HSE QHSE and radiation safety procedures.
- Coordinate with field engineers and supervisors for job planning and tool readiness.
- Manage parts inventory and ensure availability of essential spare components.
- Provide technical support on tool configuration based on job specifications.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Experience with electronic and mechanical assembly calibration and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with downhole sensors wireline logging tools and telemetry systems.
- Strong diagnostic and problemsolving skills.
- Good understanding of safety protocols including radiation safety.
- Proficient in maintaining service records and documentation.
- Effective team player with good communication and coordination skills.
