A Food Runner in a restaurant or caf is responsible for supporting the frontofhouse operations by delivering food and beverages to customers assisting waitstaff and ensuring a smooth dining experience. The role focuses on speed efficiency and excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver food and drinks from the kitchen or bar to customers promptly.
- Ensure all orders are accurate and complete before delivery.
- Assist servers with clearing and setting up tables.
- Maintain a clean and organized dining area including clearing empty plates glasses and utensils.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to ensure timely order delivery.
- Support servers during busy periods by helping with refills and extra tasks as needed.
- Ensure food and drink quality by checking presentation and temperature before serving.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in a fastpaced environment.
- Friendly and professional demeanor.
- Physical stamina to carry trays and handle busy shifts.
- 2 years of experience in a similar rolerequired.
