1. JOB PURPOSE
To ensure a safe and healthy working environment by implementing monitoring and enforcing occupational health and safety requirements in compliance with company policies legal regulations and applicable safety standards.
2. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Implement and monitor occupational health and safety programs at site level.
- Conduct regular workplace safety inspections and report unsafe acts and conditions.
- Identify hazards and support the preparation of risk assessments and control measures.
- Ensure compliance with local safety regulations and company safety procedures.
- Monitor the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Investigate incidents near misses and unsafe conditions and support corrective actions.
- Deliver safety inductions and toolbox talks for employees and contractors.
- Maintain safety records reports permits and inspection checklists.
- Coordinate with contractors to ensure compliance with site safety rules.
- Support emergency preparedness activities such as fire drills and evacuation exercises.
Qualifications :
Educational Credentials
- Diploma or Bachelors degree in Safety Engineering or a related field.
Work Experience
- Minimum 24 years experience in a Safety Officer or HSE role.
- Safety certification such as NEBOSH IGC or equivalent is preferred.
Language Skills
- Good communication skills in English.
Computer Skills
- Basic knowledge of MS Office (Word Excel).
