Job Title: Civil Engineer
Location: Dhahran
Experience Level: Experienced (More than 2 Years)
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to support and oversee civil engineering activities for IT communication infrastructure projects across the Kingdom. The role involves construction supervision engineering design preparation cost estimation project coordination and participation in inspection and commissioning activities. The candidate must ensure compliance with company standards and project specifications while maintaining cost and schedule control.
Key Responsibilities
1. Construction Supervision & Inspection
Monitor and inspect construction progress of assigned civil engineering projects related to IT infrastructure.
Ensure compliance with company civil engineering standards and approved project specifications.
Review and recommend design modifications material substitutions and equipment alternatives where required.
Monitor project expenditures to ensure alignment with approved budgets and justify any cost overruns.
Attend mechanical completion inspections and equipment commissioning for IT projects undertaken by the Construction Agency.
2. Engineering Design & Drafting
Prepare civil engineering designs for IT communication facilities across the Kingdom as per project requirements.
Develop detailed civil engineering drawings using AutoCAD and/or MicroStation.
Ensure all drawings comply with project specifications and applicable Saudi standards.
Support efficient and accurate execution of projects through precise technical documentation.
3. Project Coordination & Support Services
Define supporting service requirements such as drafting surveying material take-offs requisitioning and clerical support.
Coordinate and monitor the progress of related support activities.
Review completed work for technical accuracy and compliance.
4. Cost Estimation & Budget Control
Develop detailed cost estimates for engineering services labor materials and equipment based on preliminary design data.
Prepare expenditure requests and provide technical justifications.
Compile and assemble all supporting documentation for cost approvals.
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (Mandatory)
Experience:
Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience in civil engineering projects preferably in IT infrastructure or communication facilities.
Preferred Certifications:
PMP (Project Management Professional)
FE (Fundamentals of Engineering)
Other relevant industry-recognized certifications
Required Skills & Competencies
Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles and construction practices.
Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or MicroStation.
Experience in cost estimation and budget preparation.
Understanding of IT infrastructure civil requirements (foundations trenches cable routing equipment bases etc.).
Excellent communication and professional interpersonal skills.
Strong leadership and project management abilities.
Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
