Responsible for diagnosing and treating medical conditions within Cardiac Surgery and providing comprehensive medical care in accordance with hospital bylaws rules regulations and policies.
Clinical:
Deliver high-quality patient care across all aspects of Cardiac Surgery within approved clinical privileges.
Provide timely inpatient and emergency consultations per hospital policy.
Ensure accurate complete and timely medical documentation.
Participate in on-call duties and meet required response times.
Conduct daily rounds and ensure discharge orders are written 24 hours prior to discharge.
Perform additional assigned clinical duties related to Cardiac Surgery.
Academic:
Provide orientation bedside teaching and supervision to interns residents and fellows.
Participate in departmental education training programs and national/international conferences.
Maintain ongoing professional development and continuing education.
Research:
Participate in clinical basic and translational research in line with Research Advisory Council policy to enhance postgraduate education and strengthen institutional recognition.
Administrative:
Undertake duties assigned by the Head of Section or Chairman.
Participate in mandatory departmental activities and serve on hospital committees.
Support initiatives to optimize departmental and hospital resource utilization.
Comply with all hospital and medical staff bylaws rules regulations and policy updates.
Participate in self and team education training and development.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Education:
Graduate of an accredited medical school.
Completion of specialty/subspecialty training in Cardiac Surgery.
Experience:
Seven (7) years of specialty/subspecialty training plus postgraduate experience equal to or exceeding seven (7) years in the subspecialty
