Position Title Specialist BIM Buildings

Reports to BIM Manager

Department Design

Function Master Planning

Location Riyadh KSA

JOB PURPOSE

Describing the overall objective of the job and essentially why the job exists

The Specialist - BIM Buildings plays a crucial role in the planning design and construction phases of airport building projects. Utilizing Building Information Modelling (BIM) technology the incumbent will be responsible for creating managing and maintaining accurate digital representations of building components to support the overall project lifecycle.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Accountability statement describing the result areas

Generate and maintain BIM models for airport building including buildings and other associated facilities.
Collaborate with engineers architects contractors and other stakeholders to develop detailed BIM models aligned with project requirements.
Ensure BIM models adhere to industry standards regulations and project specifications.
Coordinate with project teams to integrate BIM models with other project management and design software platforms.
Conduct clash detection analysis and resolve conflicts within BIM models to mitigate construction errors and enhance project efficiency.
Produce accurate quantity take-offs material schedules and construction phasing plans from BIM models.
Provide support during the construction phase by updating BIM models as-built documentation and facilitating information exchange between stakeholders.
Train and assist project team members in utilizing BIM software and methodologies effectively.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:

Define the minimum experience required as part of the job

Minimum of 7-10 years of experience working as a BIM Specialist or similar role in airport building construction projects is preferred.
Demonstrated proficiency in BIM software such as Autodesk Revit AutoCAD Civil 3D Navisworks Lumion Enscape or similar platforms.
Experience in creating and managing BIM models for large-scale building projects preferably in airport construction.
Strong understanding of civil engineering principles and terminology related to airport building.
Experience in managing information through the use of CDE and federation of multidisciplinary models.
Application of industry standards for checking of BIM deliverables against LOD requirements as per Stages of the RIBA Plan of Work 2020 and AMAALAs standard work stages of project development
Solid Experience in Visualization Rendering and AR/VR applications.

ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum formal qualifications required as part of the job

Bachelors degree in architecture Construction Management or a related field.
Additional certifications in BIM software or related disciplines are advantageous.
