JOB SUMMARY:
Provide comprehensive surgical care in general surgery managing a wide range of elective and emergency cases including abdominal gastrointestinal endocrine hernia and trauma surgeries. Focus on perioperative management advanced surgical techniques and multidisciplinary collaboration within a leading Riyadh hospital.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Demonstrate advanced clinical skills in the specialized field.
• Manage complex medical cases independently.
• Provide leadership in delivering high-quality patient care.
• Supervise and mentor junior medical staff and residents.
• Contribute to the training and development of medical teams.
• Collaborate closely with consultants and specialists in multidisciplinary teams.
• Offer expert consultations on challenging medical cases.
• Engage in clinical research activities.
• Contribute to academic programs teaching and training initiatives.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives.
• Implement and adhere to evidence-based medical practices.
• Assume leadership responsibilities within the medical department.
• Contribute to decision-making processes related to patient care and departmental policies.
• Pursue continuous professional development and stay abreast of advancements in the medical field.
• Attend conferences and workshops to enhance knowledge and skills.
• Advocate for patient rights and welfare.
• Ensure a patient-centered approach in medical care.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulations.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

• Graduate from a medical school of good standing.
• Completion of required period of training in specialty and/or Subspecialty (Western Arab Jordanian Lebanese) Board certification in the relevant medical specialty is typically required or equivalent fulfilling the criteria for Senior Registrar as required.
• A certificate recognized by the Saudi Commission is a must.
• Dataflow is a must.

Professional Experience:

• Minimum of 5 years work experience and minimum 2 years work experience in General Surgery field. Training and re-certification in basic life support (BLS) every 2 years - Essential.

Language:

• Proficiency in English; additional proficiency in Arabic may be beneficial.
