Lead, Plant Supply Chain, Indirect Material

Key Functional Responsibilities

• Ensure a safe and compliant work environment by enforcing safety health and environmental regulations. Conduct regular inspections coordinate with maintenance on MHE conditions and lead incident investigations. Guide team members to follow established procedures and safety standards.

• Lead and oversee end-to-end intralogistics operations including the receipt storage movement and delivery of hazardous and non-hazardous materials by coordinating daily activities assigning and prioritising tasks based on team capabilities and production requirements and ensuring optimal workflow and productivity.

• Plan and prioritise team tasks to improve workflow resolve issues quickly ensure smooth shift handovers and coordinate with logistics and production. Support business plans through team development and performance tracking.

• Inspect incoming parts for accuracy and defects manage non-conforming parts and process in accordance with established procedures. Implement team instructions and best practices to maintain high standards and ensure consistent quality across all operations.

• Ensure all hazardous materials are handled labelled stored and transported in compliance with local regulations company policies and safety standards. Maintain accurate records of hazardous material inventory movement and disposal.

• Implement and monitor the CMS Logistics pillar conduct self-assessments and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Support audits risk assessments and continuous improvement initiatives related to hazardous material handling.

• Optimise the use of labour equipment and materials by applying best practices and cost-saving initiatives. Maintain accurate inventory levels enforce secure storage practices and ensure alignment with production requirements budgets and KPIs.

• Drive team development and knowledge transfer to build a high-performing adaptable workforce. Prepare and deliver training materials and conduct skill-enhancement sessions for team members focusing on new equipment technologies and best practices.

• Keep stakeholders informed by ensuring timely and accurate preparation of reports and updates on KPIs.

Job Requirements

Education

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering Automotive Engineering Industrial Engineering Logistics Operations Management or a related field.

Experience

• Minimum 3 years in material handling logistics or inventory control in the automotive industry or a related field.

• Strong knowledge of hazardous materials handling storage and transportation regulations is a plus.

• Leadership experience in material handling or a related area is a plus.

• Experience with SAP is a must.
