TITLE: Human Resources Officer
TEAM/PROGRAMME: Human ResourcesLOCATION: Cairo Egypt
GRADE: G4CONTRACT LENGTH: Full time FTA

CHILD SAFEGUARDING: (select only one)

Level 3: the post holder will have contact with children and/or young people either frequently (e.g. once a week or more) or intensively (e.g. four days in one month or more or overnight) because they work country programs; or are visiting country programs; or because they are responsible for implementing the police checking/vetting process staff.

ROLE PURPOSE:

The Role holder will be responsible for human resources learning and development functions induction programs monitor mandatory training compliance and staff development needs in accordance with Save the Children Policies and Procedure.

As well will support diverse HR functions primarily by aiding in recruitment process gathering employment documents from new hires and issuing contracts for volunteers and individual contractors. Additionally s/he will assist the ER officer in filing and consolidating staff data and play a role in separation processes. The role also involves handling various general HR administrative tasks as required.

Strong organizational skills effective communication and the ability to collaborate with various stakeholders are crucial for success in this position.

In the event of a major humanitarian emergency the role holder will be expected to work outside the normal role profile and be able to vary working hours accordingly.

SCOPE OF ROLE:

KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:

Learning and Development

Support HR director for the development of staff learning and development programs and the implementation of an annual and area learning plans

Support trainings workshop and webinar or liaise with training providers to ensure correct setup and equipment requirements are provided.

Ensure all relevant document such as training application form attendance evaluation report etc. are compiled and kept for every training.

Record and maintain training tracker/retain management information including participation/attendance evaluation reports costs and ROI to demonstrate progress against KPIs and L&D team objectives.

Report to supervisor for any training related issues.

On-boarding
Make sure the organization On-boarding is delivered effectively by arranging the induction personal declaration probation appraisal according to schedule compiling supporting materials.
follow up every new staff to complete the mandatory online courses within timeline communicating with field office HR focal.
Compiling/keeping induction related document from every staff.
Record and maintain update induction tracker and ensure to meet KPIs.

Performance Management
Monitoring and recording Develop to perform (D2P) annual goal setting and performance review completion under the supervision of HR Coordinator
Make sure all performance review forms for offline staff received within deadline according to Performance Management annual cycle.

Recruitment and Staffing:

Participate in the entire recruitment process from job posting and candidate screening to interviewing and selection.

schedule interviews and conducts assessment tests to candidates ensuring a seamless and positive candidate experience and communicate relevant details to both candidates and hiring managers.

Collaborate with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and ensure timely and effective recruitment.

Personnel Functions:

Maintain accurate and up-to-date personnel records including employment contracts extensions and other relevant documentation.

Oversee employee separations ensuring compliance with organizational policies and relevant employment laws.

Employee Relations:

Support HR team to react on employees regarding HR-related inquiries and concerns.

Mediate and resolve conflicts addressing employee relations issues promptly and effectively.

Foster a positive work environment by promoting open communication and a culture of respect and inclusion.

Compliance and Policies:

Stay informed about relevant labour laws and regulations ensuring compliance with needed requirements.

Update and communicate HR policies and procedures to field office employees ensuring understanding and adherence.

Monitor attendance and compliance across field offices in coordination with Field managers.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelors degree in Human Resources Business Administration or a related field.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

3-5 years of working experience in a similar HR role within a large complex organisation

Excellent IT skills to include Microsoft Office Word (including Mail merge) PowerPoint Excel and Outlook

Experience of working with an HRIS system with the ability to accurately input data and generate reports.

Ability to prioritise work to tight deadlines and use own initiative.

Ability and confidence to communicate appropriately with people at all levels both internally and externally within a diverse client group.

Respect the importance of confidentiality particularly in relation to employees personal details.

Experience of taking accurate and concise notes.

Ability to work accurately with excellent attention to detail.

Understanding of core HR processes good verbal/written communication skills

Experience of working in a dynamic fast-paced environment.

Demonstrate commitment to learning and development and progression with HR.

Strong interpersonal skills and cultural awareness. The ability to develop productive relationships across a wide range of stakeholders in a diverse international environment

A proven ability to manage a busy workload to prioritise effectively and juggle tasks in a fast paced and dynamic environment
