Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Smoke Management System HVAC Sales Engineer to join our team in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA). The role combines technical expertise in smoke control and HVAC systems with commercial selling responsibilities. The successful candidate will deliver technical pre-sales support develop tailored smoke management solutions and build strong relationships with clients consultants and contractors across building and infrastructure sectors.
Key Responsibilities Sales Technical Support & Client Engagement
Develop and qualify new business opportunities for smoke management and HVAC solutions through proactive market engagement client meetings and tender responses.
Provide technical sales support and consultancy during the proposal and design stages translating client requirements into compliant costed smoke control strategies and HVAC designs.
Prepare and deliver clear technical presentations product demonstrations and solution workshops to clients consultants and internal stakeholders to influence specification and procurement decisions.
Produce and review technical documentation including system descriptions performance calculations single-line diagrams equipment schedules and scope of works for bids and projects.
Conduct site visits and surveys to verify conditions identify constraints and recommend practical system configurations or modifications.
Collaborate with engineering project delivery and procurement teams to ensure proposed solutions are buildable compliant with local codes and delivered within commercial targets.
Respond to RFIs/RFPs with technically accurate and commercially competitive proposals; support contract negotiations and scope clarifications.
Manage relationships with manufacturers vendors and subcontractors to obtain technical data equipment quotes and ensure supply chain alignment with project requirements.
Support commissioning activities by providing technical guidance on system operation testing and acceptance criteria where required.
Maintain awareness of industry standards codes and best practice for smoke control ventilation and fire safety applicable in KSA and regionally.

Selling skills: Proven ability to identify customer needs develop value propositions and close technical sales for building services or life-safety systems.
Technical knowledge: Strong understanding of smoke management principles HVAC systems ventilation control strategies fans dampers and control interfaces.
Technical knowledge: Familiarity with relevant standards and codes (e.g. NFPA BS local Saudi regulations) and ability to apply them to system design and specification.
Communication skills: Excellent verbal and written communication with the ability to present complex technical information clearly to clients consultants and internal teams.
Communication skills: Competence in preparing professional commercial proposals technical submittals and concise bid responses.
IT literacy: Proficiency with MS Office; experience with CAD calculations tools or modelling software for smoke/airflow analysis is advantageous.

Essential Qualifications and Experience
Bachelors degree in Mechanical Building Services HVAC Fire Engineering or related discipline or equivalent experience.
Minimum 46 years experience in HVAC smoke management or building services sales/technical roles with demonstrable experience supporting tender bids and client-facing activities.
Proven track record in technical sales or pre-sales for life-safety smoke control or HVAC systems in building or infrastructure projects.
Knowledge of local KSA regulations and building codes is highly desirable.
Willingness and ability to travel to client sites and project locations across the region as required.
Fluency in English; Arabic language skills are beneficial but not required.
