- Review project contract/Quality Plan regarding quality requirements and ensure that they are understood and adhered to in project team.
- Implementation of Project Quality Plan in line with project contractual requirements and maintaining it throughout the project life cycle.
- Work together with the project team so as to ensure that specific QA requirements contractually agreed are understood and adhered to by Suppliers and Sub-suppliers and contractors.
- Review and monitor
a. Engineering process in projects to ensure compliance to requirements specified in Process as well as contractual specifications.
b. documentation requirements of projects and processes and highlight gaps through reviews inspections and audits.
c. Project /Service management life cycle from initiation through closing and handover and review performance against set parameters.
- Review of method statements and preparation of relevant Inspection and test plans/ templates as required for various site activities.
- Coordinate/supervise material inspection activities on products procured before delivery to site in accordance with Project Quality Plan and project requirements. This includes Customer involvement where contractually agreed.
- Organizing for stage inspections and keeping track of their status (This includes Customer involvement where agreed upon)
- Keep track of the points arising out of inspections and coordinate with teams for their closure and reporting. (This includes Customer involvement where agreed upon)
- Maintaining records and documents relevant to the Quality Management System.
- Conduct Project and Site Quality Audits/trainings and where necessary and follow-up to close audit findings and relevant reporting.
- Support the project in managing Nonconformities/Incidents including containment and resolution. Support Project Manager/ Site Manager to initiate RCA process where required.
- Suggest improvements to the quality management system as appropriate. Train the project team on relevant QMS requirements/ improvements.
- Monitor customer feedback on issues regarding quality.
- Support the project in handling customer complaints and assist for their timely resolution where applicable.
- Provide summary of lessons learned feedback to Project Manager/ Quality Manager to support further Improvements Initiatives.
Requirements
- Ideally should have bachelors degree or equivalent qualifications in Electrical Electronics Instrumentation control systems .
- Background in working with QA/QC (ISO 9001 with 10 years of work experience with Industrial automation projects of different size complexity and contractual types starting from initiation to closing stages of the project.
- Have 5 years of experience working in Oil and Gas sector.
- Being a Certified Lead auditor for QMS Auditor would be an added advantage.
- Computer literate and well conversant with MS office tools. (Power points Excel Word etc)
- Familiar with Document Management tools and concepts.
- Have basic knowledge and understanding of project schedule and project life cycle.
- Fluent in English (speak and write); Ability to communicate in the language of workers and (Hindi Tamil etc) would be an added advantage.
- Familiarity with QA/QC requirements from various customers would be an added advantage.
- Knowledge of automation concepts products engineering and documentation.
- Any approvals from Oil and Gas customers Locally (QatarEnergy QatarEnergy Lng Shell North Oil Dolphin etc) will be an added advantage.
