- Perform preventive maintenance troubleshooting and repairs on various kitchen and laundry equipment including ovens dishwashers refrigerators washing machines dryers and steamers.
- Conduct regular inspections and diagnose faults in electrical mechanical and automated kitchen and laundry equipment.
- Replace or repair faulty parts such as motors heating elements bearings and belts.
- Maintain accurate documentation of all maintenance activities and service reports.
- Ensure all kitchen and laundry equipment operates efficiently and safely in compliance with company and local safety regulations.
- Implement proactive maintenance strategies to prevent breakdowns and minimize operational disruptions.
- Coordinate with vendors and service providers for specialized repairs and procurement of spare parts.
- Work collaboratively with kitchen and housekeeping teams to schedule maintenance and repairs with minimal impact on operations.
- Assist in training operational staff on proper equipment usage and basic troubleshooting techniques.
- Respond promptly to emergency breakdowns and implement immediate corrective actions.
- Maintain an inventory of essential spare parts to reduce equipment downtime.
- Participate in after-hours on-call duty as required.
Qualifications :
- Diploma or certification in Electrical Mechanical or Refrigeration Engineering.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in kitchen and laundry equipment maintenance within the hospitality industry.
- Strong knowledge of commercial kitchen and laundry equipment brands (e.g. Rational Electrolux Hobart).
- Solid understanding of electrical wiring and HVAC systems related to kitchen and laundry operations.
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations in hotel engineering maintenance.
- Proven track record in preventive maintenance troubleshooting and equipment repair.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with team members and vendors.
- Proficiency in using computerized maintenance management systems.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts and respond to emergency calls as needed.
