Contract Type: Full-Time Contract
The selected candidate will contribute to the proper implementation of the communication and visibility of the Programme and potentially other initiatives of the Organization. This includes reporting and maintaining external relations with the EU and various beneficiaries/stakeholders.
The Communication Officer will:
Report to the Team Leader of the Programme
Coordinate with the Financial and Administrative Coordinator
Work under the supervision of the Head of the Organization
Elaborating ad hoc communication tools and promoting actions to reinforce visibility for the Communication Unit.
Implementing the communication and visibility strategy in coordination with Programme personnel and in accordance with the Communication and Visibility Plan.
Building and maintaining partnerships and ensuring collaboration with communication and public information officers of relevant authorities to ensure alignment in strategic communications.
Preparing visibility materials under the supervision of the Team Leader to disseminate and strengthen Programme visibility.
Leading the graphic design development editing production proofreading and dissemination of communication and visibility materials (ready-to-print versions) including:
Publications
Event proceedings
Presentations
Reports
Toolkits
Manuals
Briefs
Newsletters
Brochures
Factsheets
Infographics
Posters
Banners
E-media content
Managing and improving social media platforms (website page Facebook Twitter Instagram LinkedIn) in collaboration with the Organization Communication Unit.
Leading the organization of Programme-related events and meetings.
Creating synergies between Programme visibility actions and related communication plans/platforms of the Organization Communication Unit.
Supporting the monitoring and implementation of the communication and visibility contract signed by the PMU with a local communication agency and/or its deliverables.
Collaborating with the Programme Team Leader and Financial Administrative Coordinator on financial and administrative tasks related to communication and visibility.
Performing any other duties requested by the Team Leader of the Programme and PMU staff.
Bachelors/University degree in:
Communication Studies
Journalism
Marketing
International Relations
Political and Social Sciences
International Development
Other degrees may be accepted if supported by relevant professional experience.
Arabic: Native speaker
English: Very good command (both written and spoken) minimum B2 European Level
Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience in:
Communication
Visibility
Graphic design
Reporting
Proficient in using:

Photoshop
Canva
Spreadsheets
Email (Outlook)
Internet tools
Strong teamwork and team-building attitude
Strategic and effective communication skills
Willingness to actively participate in PMU programme activities beyond ToR tasks
The following will be considered an advantage:
Higher academic qualifications beyond the minimum required
Diplomas and certificates in communication in addition to essential education requirements
Previous experience in EU-funded projects or EU coordination mechanisms
Relevant professional experience with Italian or international organizations (UN EU)
