Job Summary
We are looking for a Senior Estimation Engineer (Mechanical) to lead mechanical and pipeline cost estimation for onshore oil & gas projects. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in tender preparation MTOs cost estimation for piping pipelines tanks structural steel and shutdown/turnaround works. This role requires technical expertise attention to detail and the ability to coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver accurate and competitive bids.
Key Responsibilities
Lead technical and commercial tender preparation for greenfield and brownfield oil & gas projects.
Review drawings specifications BOQs and other tender documents to determine scope risks and exclusions.
Prepare detailed Material Take-Offs (MTOs) and cost estimates for piping pipelines tanks structural steel and mechanical works.
Analyze direct and indirect costs productivity norms and construction methodologies.
Estimate shutdown/turnaround projects including piping replacement valve testing structural repairs and tank maintenance.
Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors for quotations and technical clarifications.
Collaborate with civil E&I insulation scaffolding NDT and other disciplines for integrated cost estimation.
Lead and mentor junior estimators; review and validate final estimates before submission.
Participate in pre-bid meetings site surveys and client communications to clarify technical and commercial aspects.
Support internal bid reviews and present estimates to management and clients.
Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
1015 years of experience in mechanical/pipeline estimation within the oil & gas sector.
Strong knowledge of pipelines CS/SS/Alloy piping structural steel tanks and erection works.
Familiarity with ASME B31.4 ASME B31.8 API 1104 and other relevant standards.
Advanced proficiency in MS Excel; working knowledge of Primavera is preferred.
Excellent analytical communication and leadership skills.
Proven ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams and manage complex bids.
