On behalf of our Tanzania based client we are looking for a competent and experienced Financial & Administration Officer

Reports: Finance & Administration Manager

Location: Kenya


Job Purpose:

A Finance and Administration Officer drives financial and administrative processes for effective office administration and generate reliable transparent and timely financial and administrative information. Their role is to maintain financial health and regulatory adherence while supporting overall organizational goals

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
RESPONSIBILITIES/ ROLES

  • Assist the Finance and Administration Manager in preparing accurate financial reports statements and forecasts for management and stakeholders.
  • Assist Finance and Administration Manager in coordinating and facilitating internal and external audits to ensure compliance with regulations and internal controls.
  • Ensure that transactions are processed daily in the system and that they are accurate and complete
  • Provide analysis and recommendations on financial strategies investments and cost-reduction initiatives.
  • Assist in financial risks analysis and propose mitigation strategies to safeguard organizational assets.
  • Participate in the development and implementation administrative policies and procedures to streamline operations and ensure compliance.
  • Participate in development monitoring and management of budgets to ensure financial discipline and adherence to organizational goals.
  • Manage filing/archiving of all AP documents and admin files (including invoices payment vouchers credit memos expense reports GL Adjustments)
  • Provide essential support such as scheduling appointments managing calendars and organizing meetings.
  • Handle incoming calls emails and correspondence ensuring timely and professional responses.
  • Maintain accurate records updating databases and organizing files to support efficient operations.
  • Ensure office supplies are stocked equipment is maintained and the workplace is organized and tidy.
  • Greet visitors assisting clients and providing a welcoming environment.
  • Support teams with research presentations and logistical tasks to facilitate project completion


FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT

Conduct financial analysis and interpret financial data to support strategic decision-making

Proficiency in financial modelling variance analysis and identifying trends and opportunities.


Risk and Compliance

Participate in the regular assessment of financial and operational risks to identify potential threats and implement mitigation strategies.

Establish and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard assets prevent fraud and ensure accuracy in financial reporting.

Ensure adherence to all relevant laws regulations and industry standards to avoid legal risks and penalties.

Requirements

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS


Minimum Qualification Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in business administration Commerce Economics or any related field.
  • CPA is and is an added advantage (Not Compulsory)

Related Minimum Experience:

  • At least 2 years of work experience in Budgeting Payments Accounting Procurements and Human Resources management

  • Possess a deep understanding of financial principles including budgeting forecasting and financial analysis.
  • Excel in managing resources optimizing processes and maintaining meticulous records.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies minimizing risks and ensuring transparency.

Knowledge.

  • Strong knowledge of financial management systems accounting principles and budgeting tools.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to interpret financial data perform variance analysis and make data driven recommendations.

ADDED ADVANTAGE

  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Capability to liaise effectively with stakeholders present financial information clearly and collaborate across departments.
