Job Description Safety Supervisor
Job Overview
The Safety Supervisor is responsible for implementing monitoring and enforcing Health Safety and Environment (HSE) policies and procedures at project sites. The role ensures compliance with local regulations company standards and international safety practices to maintain a safe and incident-free working environment.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and enforce HSE policies procedures and safety standards on-site.
Conduct regular safety inspections audits and risk assessments.
Identify potential hazards and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
Prepare detailed HSE reports and maintain accurate compliance records.
Coordinate safety activities with project managers contractors and subcontractors.
Ensure proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) by all workers.
Conduct safety inductions toolbox talks and awareness training programs.
Monitor work activities to ensure adherence to safety guidelines.
Investigate accidents incidents and near-misses and prepare investigation reports.
Implement emergency response plans and conduct mock drills.
Ensure compliance with Saudi safety regulations and company policies.
Maintain safety signage permits and documentation.
Support management in developing and improving safety systems.
Essential Qualifications
Diploma / Bachelors Degree in Engineering Safety Management or a related field.
Certification in NEBOSH IOSH OSHA or equivalent safety qualification (Preferred).
Minimum 2 to 5 years of experience as a Safety Supervisor or similar role.
Experience in construction industrial oil & gas or infrastructure projects is preferred.
Knowledge of Saudi HSE regulations and international safety standards.
Skills Required
Strong knowledge of HSE policies risk assessment and hazard control.
Excellent communication and coordination skills.
Ability to conduct safety training and awareness programs.
Good reporting and documentation skills.
Problem-solving and incident investigation abilities.
Leadership skills to guide and motivate workers on safety practices.
Proficiency in MS Office and report preparation.
Ability to work independently and under pressure.
