Bakery Chef

A Bakery Chef is responsible for managing preparing baking and presenting high-quality breads pastries desserts and baked goods for hotel outlets banquets and events while seeking customer feedback training staff controlling costs and covering all business needs. This role ensures consistent product quality attractive presentation and adherence to food safety and hotel standards while supporting daily operations and special functions.

What will I be doing

A Bakery Chef will also be required to ensure that all operational quality and administrative functions are carried out properly. Specifically you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

• Prepare and bake a variety of breads pastries cakes and other baked goods according to hotel recipes and standards

• Ensure consistency in taste texture appearance and portion control

• Assist in menu planning recipe development and seasonal offerings

• Monitor proofing baking times temperatures and product quality

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bakery and equipment in compliance with HACCP and food safety regulations

• Control food costs by minimizing waste and properly managing ingredients

• Coordinate with kitchen and banquet teams to meet daily production and event requirements

• Assist with inventory management ordering and stock rotation

• Train and supervise junior bakery staff or commis as assigned

• Follow all hotel policies hygiene standards and workplace safety procedures

• Team-oriented with good communication skills

It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:

• Knowledge of current food trends
• Advance food hygiene qualification
• High level of IT proficiency
