STRUCTURAL ENGINEER

Location: Qatar

Job Summary:

A skilled Offshore Structural Engineer with 5 years of experience in offshore oil & gas

projects. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting yard activities including

structural calculations structural inspections load-out support lifting analysis and interface

coordination between design and execution teams. This position is primarily site-based and requires

close interaction with fabrication contractors.

Key Responsibilities:

1 Supervise and monitor fabrication yard activities for offshore structures (jackets topsides

subsea structures etc.)

2 Review and interpret structural fabrication drawings and lifting/handling plans

3 Provide engineering support during load-out lifting and sea-fastening operations

4 Conduct or witness structural inspections and ensure compliance with design specifications

and project standards

5 Resolve site queries and design non-conformities in coordination with the engineering team

6 Maintain documentation and prepare reports structural calculation

Requirements:

1 Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or related field

2 Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in offshore structural engineering with exposure to

yard or fabrication activities

3 Familiarity with international codes and standards (API RP2A DNVGL-ST-N001 AISC AWS)

4 Proficiency in structural analysis and design software SACS

5 Proficiency in carrying out lifting loadout & transportation analysis in SACS and rigging

designs using DNVGL-ST-N001

6 Strong understanding of fabrication and erection techniques

7 Good problem-solving communication and organizational skills
