A Human Resources Manager is responsible for providing first-class employee relations services to the Human Resources Manager and management team to deliver an excellent staff experience while assisting with Human Resources strategy.
What will I be doing
As a Human Resources Manager you will be responsible for leading the delivery of firstclass human resources and employee relations services to the hotel supporting the senior management team and ensuring an excellent staff experience. The role includes overseeing HR strategy employee relations compliance recruitment training and cost management in line with company policies and legal requirements.
Specifically you will be responsible for performing the following duties to the highest standards:
- Lead and deliver firstclass employee relations services to the management team and employees acting as a trusted advisor on all HR matters
- Develop and implement the hotels Human Resources strategy including succession planning talent development and workforce planning
- Manage and oversee all employee relations matters in a professional and confidential manner including disciplinary proceedings grievances performance management and capability cases
- Ensure the recruitment and selection process is fully adhered to including compliance with company standards and completion of immigration righttowork and legal checks
- Drive the achievement of departmental and hotelwide people objectives in alignment with business goals
- Oversee and coordinate departmental and mandatory training requirements across the hotel
- Manage HR budgets control costs where possible and contribute to achieving hotel and departmental financial targets
- Ensure pay reviews absence management wage queries and payrollrelated matters are managed in line with company policies and procedures
- Ensure full compliance with hotel security fire regulations health and safety legislation and other statutory training requirements
- Build and maintain relationships with local organisations educational institutions and schools to promote careers in the hospitality industry
- Act as a key point of escalation to support and resolve employee and management queries in a timely and professional manner
