Job Title: Airfield Lighting Technician (AFLT)
Job Location: Al Sailiya Qatar

Contract Duration: 3 Months (Extendable)
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience as an Airfield Lighting Technician / Electrician
- Proven experience working on airfield lighting systems or high-voltage electrical systems
- Construction industry experience is mandatory
Eligibility
- Applicant must be locally available in Qatar
- Must hold a valid Freelance Visa
Job Responsibilities
- Install test maintain and repair airfield lighting systems and associated high-voltage electrical power and distribution equipment
- Perform work on electrical systems above 600 volts following approved safety procedures
- Install service and repair generators transformers switchboards control panels controllers circuit breakers motors heating units and conduit systems
- Carry out fault diagnosis and troubleshooting on airfield lighting and power distribution systems
- Read and interpret electrical drawings blueprints layouts and technical specifications
- Perform electrical load calculations and verify wiring and equipment capacity
- Use electrician hand tools and measuring and testing instruments such as multimeters insulation testers and high-voltage test equipment
- Ensure all work complies with electrical codes aviation standards project specifications and site safety regulations
- Coordinate with project teams to support construction and maintenance activities
- Maintain proper documentation inspection records and maintenance reports
Key Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of airfield lighting systems and high-voltage electrical installations
- Sound understanding of electrical safety standards for systems above 600V
- Ability to troubleshoot electrical and basic electronic control circuits
- Good mechanical aptitude and hands-on technical skills
- Familiarity with construction site safety and aviation-related electrical systems
