Electrical Distribution Technician (EDT)
Job Title: Electrical Distribution Technician (EDT)
Job Location: Al Sailiya Qatar
Industry: Construction
Contract Duration: 3 Months (Extendable)
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience as an Electrical Distribution Technician / Electrician

Construction industry experience is mandatory

Applicant must be locally available in Qatar

Must hold a valid Freelance Visa
Job Responsibilities
- Install maintain and repair electrical distribution systems for the generation transmission and utilization of electrical power
- Install and service generators transformers switchboards panels controllers circuit breakers motors and heating units
- Install and maintain conduit systems cabling PDUs ECUs and transmission equipment
- Ensure proper voltage supply and electrical distribution to B.E.A.R equipment modules PDUs ECUs low-voltage lighting and power outlets
- Read and interpret blueprints electrical drawings layouts and technical specifications
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults in power distribution systems and equipment
- Perform electrical load calculations and verify wiring capacity and equipment ratings
- Use electrical hand tools and measuring/testing instruments such as multimeters megger testers and clamp meters
- Ensure compliance with construction standards electrical codes and site safety regulations
- Coordinate with other trades and site teams to support project activities

Maintain proper documentation inspection records and reports
Key Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of electrical distribution systems and power equipment

Experience working with low-voltage and power distribution systems

Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and drawings

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Familiarity with construction site electrical safety practices
