Internal Medical Consultant

Woodston Personnel are seeking an accomplished and patient-centred Consultant in Internal Medicine to join a progressive medical service delivering high-quality evidence-based care to adult patients with complex and acute medical conditions.

This is a senior clinical appointment offering significant clinical autonomy leadership responsibility and opportunities to contribute to service development governance and teaching. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe efficient and patient-focused care across inpatient and outpatient settings.

Duties and Responsbilities

• Provide consultant-level assessment diagnosis and management of adult patients with acute chronic and multi-system medical conditions.

• Lead and coordinate the care of complex medical patients including those with multiple comorbidities.

• Participate in ward rounds outpatient clinics and on-call rotas as required.

• Provide senior clinical decision-making including supervision and support of junior medical staff.

• Ensure timely accurate and high-quality clinical documentation and reporting.

• Work closely with nursing allied health professionals and specialty teams to deliver integrated high-quality care.

• Liaise effectively with subspecialty services to ensure appropriate referrals and continuity of care.

• Contribute to discharge planning and transitions of care to community and primary care services.

• Practice in accordance with national clinical guidelines regulatory standards and hospital policies.

• Participate in clinical governance activities including audit risk management morbidity and mortality meetings and quality improvement initiatives.

• Support the development and review of clinical protocols and pathways within Internal Medicine.

• Provide teaching supervision and mentorship to junior doctors and trainees.

• Contribute to undergraduate and postgraduate medical education programmes where applicable.

• Maintain ongoing professional development and revalidation in line with regulatory requirements.

• Contribute to strategic planning and service development within Internal Medicine.

• Support innovation in clinical practice efficiency and patient experience.

• Participate in leadership roles or committees as required.

MBBS or equivalent medical qualification

US Board/ FRCS - Irish UK Canadian New Zealand or Australian/ Diploma dEtudes Specialises (DES)/ CIS French Board/ Fachart & Sub- Board/ Fellowship / Board / Fellowship / Sweden / Belgium / Finland / Spain

Must have at least 3-5years of post-consultant or senior specialist experience

Eligible for consultant licensure with the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS)
