Job Overview

We are currently seeking a meticulous and proactive Assistant IT Auditor to join our professional team in Manama Bahrain. This is a full-time position ideal for an individual looking to develop their career in IT audit within a forward-thinking and expanding company. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the IT audit function helping to assess and enhance the effectiveness of our risk management control and governance processes across our diverse technological landscape.

Responsibilities

Reports to an assigned immediate superior and ultimately to the Group Internal Audit Manager (GIAM).
Uphold the Companys Code of Ethics and the Institute of Internal Auditors Code of Ethics specifically the principles of Integrity Objectivity Confidentiality and Competency.
Conduct IT audit engagements following the internal audit departments policies and procedures e.g. engagement planning fieldwork reporting and follow-up.
Participates in the opening and closing meetings with engagement clients.
Assists in the conduct of assurance engagements where the work of IT specialist is required.
Assists in the conduct of consulting engagements e.g. investigations performance improvement studies due diligence etc. where the work of IT specialist is required.
Review IT purchases such as but not limited to: Laptops and desktop computers Mobile phones Internet connectivity Annual Maintenance Services related to IT assets etc.
Do other tasks related to the functions of internal audit department assigned by the GIAM.

Qualifications

A bachelors degree in Information Technology Computer Science Business Information Systems or a related field.
Previous experience in an IT audit internal audit or IT risk management role is highly advantageous.
Familiarity with IT general controls and application control concepts.
Strong analytical problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a high degree of attention to detail.
The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team as well as independently.
A desire to pursue or progress with professional certifications (e.g. CISA CISM) is desirable.
