Job Purpose

The Executive Director of Information Technology provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for all technology systems supporting AIUs academic and administrative functions. The role drives digital transformation ensures system reliability and security and aligns technology initiatives with institutional goals to enhance performance efficiency and data-driven decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a multi-year IT strategy aligned with the Universitys vision and growth priorities.
• Lead implementation integration and optimization of enterprise platforms including Banner Canvas Salesforce Oracle Finance and Tableau.
• Strengthen cybersecurity data governance and business continuity across all systems.
• Advance analytics and reporting capabilities to improve institutional effectiveness.
• Collaborate with academic and operational leaders to align technology with user needs.
• Manage budgets vendor relationships and IT procurement to ensure fiscal efficiency.
• Build and mentor a high-performing IT team that emphasizes innovation accountability and service excellence.
• Oversee compliance with institutional accreditation and data-protection requirements.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Proven leadership in enterprise IT strategy and operations.
• Expertise with Banner Canvas Salesforce Oracle Finance and Tableau.
• Strong knowledge of cybersecurity data management and system integration.
• Excellent project management communication and stakeholder-engagement skills.
• Demonstrated ability to lead organizational change and digital transformation.

Education and Experience

• Masters degree in Information Technology Computer Science or a related field required; Doctorate preferred.
• Minimum eight (8) to ten (10) years of progressive IT leadership experience preferably in higher education.
• Certifications such as PMP CISSP ITIL or CCIO are an advantage.
