Job Title:
Mechanical Estimation Engineer – Fire Fighting & Fire Suppression Systems (QCDD Approved)
Location: Qatar

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Estimation Engineer specialized in Fire Fighting and Fire Suppression Systems with QCDD approval. The candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates tender documentation and technical compliance for projects in Qatar ensuring adherence to QCDD NFPA and local authority regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Estimation & Tendering
- Prepare detailed BOQs cost estimates and tender submissions for fire fighting and fire suppression systems.
- Analyze tender drawings specifications and addendums to determine project scope.
- Perform quantity take-offs for systems including sprinklers FM200 NOVEC 1230 CO foam fire pumps and hydrant systems.
- Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotations.
Technical & Compliance
- Ensure all estimates comply with QCDD NFPA and Qatar Civil Defense requirements.
- Review project specifications and ensure technical compliance with approved standards.
- Support QCDD design approvals submissions and revisions as required.
Cost Control & Coordination
- Evaluate value engineering options without compromising safety or compliance.
- Assist in budget preparation and cost control during project execution.
- Coordinate with engineering procurement and project teams during tender and post-award stages.
Documentation & Reporting
- Prepare tender clarifications cost breakdowns and comparison reports.
- Maintain updated pricing databases for materials labor and equipment.
- Support management with commercial and technical inputs for bid decisions.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 6 – 8 years of relevant experience in Fire Fighting & Fire Suppression Estimation in Qatar.
- QCDD approval/experience is mandatory.
- Strong knowledge of NFPA standards QCDD regulations and local authority requirements.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD MS Excel and estimation software.
- Experience handling government commercial residential and industrial projects.
- Strong analytical communication and coordination skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Qatar-based consultants and contractors.
- Knowledge of procurement and vendor negotiations.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple tenders simultaneously.
