Key Responsibilities
HSE Program Leadership and Management:
Lead the development implementation and maintenance of the sections HSE Management System (e.g. in accordance with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards).
Translate overall corporate HSE strategy into tangible actionable objectives and programs for the section.
Oversee daily HSE operations including monitoring safety performance compliance and risk control measures.
Compliance and Reporting:
Ensure the section remains in full compliance with all relevant local national and international HSE laws regulations and corporate standards.
Maintain and update all necessary environmental permits and operating licenses.
Prepare and submit comprehensive HSE performance reports to senior management highlighting trends leading/lagging indicators and compliance status.
Risk Management and Incident Response:
Lead and facilitate comprehensive Risk Assessments (e.g. HAZOP JSA TRA) to identify workplace hazards and determine necessary control measures.
Manage and coordinate the sections emergency response plan (ERP) including regular drills and training.
Lead or participate in the investigation of all incidents accidents and near-misses to determine root causes and implement effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Required Qualifications
Education: Bachelors degree in Engineering Occupational Health & Safety Environmental Science or a related field.
Experience: 5 years of progressive experience in an HSE role with a minimum of 2 years in a supervisory or leadership capacity preferably within a high-risk industry (e.g. Manufacturing Construction Oil & Gas).
Certification: Relevant professional certification is typically required such as:
NEBOSH International Diploma or equivalent.
Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or equivalent.
Technical Knowledge:
Expert knowledge of relevant local and international HSE regulations.
Strong practical knowledge of risk assessment methodologies accident investigation and root cause analysis techniques.
Proficiency in managing HSE Management Systems (ISO 45001/14001).
Preferred Qualifications
Masters degree in a related field.
Experience implementing Behavioral Safety Programs.
Familiarity with industrial hygiene principles and monitoring.
