Summary:
The Quality Control Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring the safety efficacy and compliance of pharmaceutical products within a pharmacy environment. This position is responsible for maintaining the highest standards of quality assurance across all stages of product handling storage distribution and dispensing. By conducting rigorous testing audits and documentation reviews the Quality Control Specialist safeguards patient health and ensures adherence to regulatory requirements set forth by agencies such as the FDA DEA and local health authorities. The role is essential in upholding the pharmacys reputation for reliability accuracy and compliance while supporting continuous improvement initiatives and operational excellence. With 2 years of relevant experience the ideal candidate will bring a strong foundation in pharmaceutical quality systems attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving quality issues before they impact patient care.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct routine quality inspections and audits of incoming stored and dispensed pharmaceutical products.
  • Perform batch testing and documentation verification to ensure compliance with established quality standards and regulatory guidelines.
  • Monitor storage conditions (temperature humidity light exposure) and maintain records to ensure product integrity.
  • Investigate and document quality deviations non-conformances and adverse events; initiate corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs).
  • Maintain and update quality control documentation including SOPs batch records and regulatory submissions.
  • Collaborate with pharmacy staff suppliers and regulatory bodies to resolve quality-related issues promptly.
  • Support internal and external audits by preparing documentation and ensuring compliance readiness.
  • Stay current with changes in pharmaceutical regulations industry best practices and emerging quality trends.
  • Provide training and guidance to pharmacy technicians and staff on quality protocols and compliance procedures.

Requirements

Requirements:
  • Bachelors degree in Pharmacy Pharmaceutical Sciences Chemistry or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in quality control quality assurance or a related role within a pharmacy or pharmaceutical manufacturing/distribution environment.
  • Strong knowledge of FDA DEA and USP (United States Pharmacopeia) regulations and compliance standards.
  • Proficient in using quality management systems (QMS) LIMS (Laboratory Information Management Systems) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze data identify trends and implement process improvements.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a detail-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced regulated environment.
  • Willingness to participate in continuous professional development and regulatory training.


Required Skills:

Requirements: Bachelors degree in Human Resources Business Administration or a related field; Masters degree preferred. Minimum of 2 years of progressive HR experience in a regulated industry preferably within pharmaceuticals biotechnology or medical devices. Demonstrated experience in full-cycle recruitment employee relations performance management and compliance within a GxP -depth knowledge of employment laws labor regulations and HR compliance standards relevant to the pharmaceutical sector. Proficiency with HRIS platforms (e.g. Workday SAP SuccessFactors or similar) and advanced Microsoft Office Suite. Strong analytical communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced deadline-driven environment. Experience with change management organizational development and policy implementation. Proven track record of maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive employee information with discretion.
