Job Title: Welding QC Inspector

Location: Qatar
Experience: 2–5 Years
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified Welding QC Inspector with 2–5 years of experience to ensure welding activities comply with approved procedures codes and project specifications. The role involves inspection documentation coordination with site teams and maintaining high quality and safety standards across fabrication and site welding works.

Key Responsibilities

Perform visual inspection (VT) of welding activities as per approved WPS drawings and standards.
Ensure compliance with AWS ASME API ISO and project-specific requirements.
Verify welder qualifications WPS PQR and consumable control.
Monitor welding parameters joint preparation fit-up preheating inter-pass temperature and post-weld activities.
Coordinate and witness NDT activities (RT UT MT PT) and review reports.
Prepare and maintain inspection reports NCRs and quality records.
Identify non-conformities and follow up on corrective and preventive actions.
Liaise with production engineering and client representatives during inspections.
Ensure proper material traceability and documentation.
Follow QHSE procedures and promote safe work practices on site.

Requirements & Qualifications

Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or relevant technical field.
2–5 years of experience as a Welding QC Inspector in construction oil & gas fabrication or industrial projects.
CSWIP 3.1 certification (mandatory or preferred).
Knowledge of welding processes: SMAW GTAW GMAW FCAW SAW.
Familiarity with Qatar construction and industrial standards.
Ability to read and interpret isometric drawings and welding symbols.
Strong documentation and reporting skills.
Good communication skills in English (Arabic is a plus).

Preferred

Experience in oil & gas petrochemical or infrastructure projects in Qatar.
Valid Qatar ID with transferable visa.
Immediate or short notice availability.
