We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Commis to join our culinary team in Riyadh Saudi Arabia. As a Commis you will play a crucial role in supporting our kitchen operations and contributing to the creation of exceptional dining experiences for our guests.
- Assist in the preparation and cooking of various food items according to recipes and quality standards
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation adhering to food safety and hygiene regulations
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient operations
- Participate in food preparation tasks such as washing peeling chopping and portioning ingredients
- Assist in the proper storage and labeling of food items
- Support senior chefs in plating and presenting dishes
- Contribute to kitchen inventory management and stock rotation
- Participate in cleaning and maintenance of kitchen equipment and facilities
- Adapt to changing priorities and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Continuously learn and develop culinary skills under the guidance of experienced chefs
Qualifications :
- At least 1 year of experience in a professional kitchen setting
- Fluency in English with strong communication skills
- Basic culinary skills and knowledge of various cooking techniques
- Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards (HACCP knowledge is a plus)
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced high-pressure environment
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds
- Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and holidays
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality in food preparation and presentation
- Willingness to learn and grow in the culinary field
- Culinary education or relevant certifications are preferred but not required
