We are seeking a highly skilled and detailoriented Technology Financial Controller to join our IT Governance team within the financial services industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing the financial aspects of our technology operations ensuring that all expenditures are within budget and compliant with vendor contracts. This role requires a strong understanding of both technology and financial management to effectively control and optimize our technology spend.Key Responsibilities:
Financial Spend Review and Control:
Monitor and review technologyrelated financial expenditures to ensure they align with the approved budget.
Implement controls to prevent overspending and ensure financial discipline within the technology department.
Budget Management:
Develop and manage the technology budget including planning forecasting and reforecasting.
Collaborate with project managers to ensure projects are executed within the allocated budget.
Contract Compliance:
Ensure all technology spend is compliant with vendor contracts and company policies.
Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contract terms to optimize financial outcomes.
Identifying Opportunities for Savings:
Analyze technology spend to identify areas for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
Implement strategies to optimize financial outcomes and reduce unnecessary expenditures.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
Work closely with procurement teams to ensure contracts are drawn up where they are missing.
Check commercials to ensure budget compliance.
Work closely with the finance team to ensure reporting and analysis produced align with actual spend.
Communicate effectively with senior management and other stakeholders regarding technology financial performance and budget status.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting Business Administration or a related field.
Proven experience in financial management preferably within the technology sector.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in financial software and tools.
