Job Description & Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and detailoriented Technology Financial Support Specialist to assist the Technology Financial Controller in managing the financial aspects of our technology operations within the financial services industry. The ideal candidate will provide essential support in reviewing expenditures ensuring budget compliance and maintaining vendor contract adherence. This role requires strong organizational skills and a keen understanding of both technology and financial processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Spend Assistance:

Assist in monitoring and reviewing technologyrelated financial expenditures to ensure they align with the approved budget.

Support the implementation of controls to prevent overspending and ensure financial discipline within the technology department.

Budget Support:

Aid in the development and management of the technology budget including planning forecasting and reforecasting.

Collaborate with project managers to help ensure projects are executed within the allocated budget.

Contract Compliance Support:

Help ensure all technology spend is compliant with vendor contracts and company policies.

Assist in managing vendor relationships and support negotiations of contract terms to optimize financial outcomes.

Identifying Opportunities for Savings:

Assist in analyzing technology spend to identify areas for cost savings and efficiency improvements.

Support the implementation of strategies to optimize financial outcomes and reduce unnecessary expenditures.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

Work closely with procurement teams to ensure contracts are drawn up where they are missing.

Check commercials to ensure budget compliance.

Work closely with the finance team to ensure reporting and analysis produced align with actual spend.

Communicate effectively with senior management and other stakeholders regarding technology financial performance and budget status.

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting Business Administration or a related field.

Experience in financial management preferably within the technology sector.

Strong organizational and analytical skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Proficiency in financial software and tools.
