Job Overview
Our client is seeking a highly skilledEstimatorwith strong technical and commercial expertise in evaluating costs for oil & gas mechanical equipment. The ideal candidate will have experience preparing detailed cost estimations forball valves wellhead components and related equipmentsupplied to Saudi Aramco whether manufactured locally or internationally.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimations for ball valves and oil & gas equipment.
- Analyze technical drawings datasheets specifications and client requirements.
- Evaluate manufacturing processes raw materials machining assembly testing certifications and logistics costs.
- Request and compare supplier quotations from local and international manufacturers.
- Collaborate with engineering procurement production and sales teams to validate cost structures.
- Ensure estimated costs comply with Saudi Aramco standards project specifications and approved vendor lists.
- Prepare commercial proposals cost breakdowns and pricing summaries for internal approval.
- Monitor market trends material price fluctuations and supplier capabilities to maintain accurate estimation databases.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree inMechanical Engineering Industrial Engineering or a related field.
- 712 years of experience in cost estimation within theoil & gas equipment sector.
- Strong technical knowledge of:
- Ball valves (essential)
- Wellhead components
- Pressure control equipment
- Experience withSaudi Aramco projects specifications and vendor qualification processes.
- Ability to analyze BOMs machining hours welding procedures coatings testing and documentation costs.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes including CNC machining forging casting and assembly.
- Experience working with both local and international valve manufacturers.
- Proficiency inMS Exceland estimation software/tools.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Attributes
- Experience withAramco-approved suppliers/OEMsfor ball valves.
- Knowledge ofAPI ASME ISO and other related industry standards.
- Strong commercial awareness and understanding of supply chain cost drivers.
- Ability to handle multiple quotations simultaneously under tight deadlines.
