The Robot Operator is responsible for the safe operation monitoring and maintenance of robotic systems used for the inspection and cleaning of photovoltaic (PV) panels within the Solar Power Plant. The role includes operating the robotic systems through the SCADA control room performing routine maintenance as per OEM guidelines coordinating with OEMs for fault resolution and ensuring efficient and timely cleaning of solar panels while maintaining strict compliance with HSE requirements.
Operate and monitor robotic systems used for inspection and cleaning of photovoltaic panels.
Control and supervise robotic system operations through the SCADA system from the control room.
Ensure robotic equipment availability and readiness for scheduled operations.
Perform routine and preventive maintenance of robotic systems in accordance with the OEM manuals and instructions.
Diagnose equipment faults and coordinate with the OEM technical support team for corrective actions as required.
Assist in troubleshooting system failures to minimize downtime and maintain operational efficiency.
Schedule and execute solar panel cleaning activities in line with OEM standards and plant operational requirements.
Undertake cleaning of photovoltaic panels as per panel OEM instructions ensuring no damage to modules or associated equipment.
Submit detailed reports upon completion of cleaning activities.
Maintain accurate records of:
Robotic system operation and performance
Preventive and corrective maintenance activities
Solar panel cleaning schedules and completion reports
Support performance analysis and continuous improvement initiatives through proper documentation.
Strictly comply with established HSE policies procedures and safe working practices.
Ensure all robotic operations and maintenance activities are carried out in a safe and controlled manner.
Participate in toolbox talks safety briefings and risk assessments as required.
Education:
Diploma in Electrical Mechanical or Electromechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
Experience:
Minimum 5 years of working experience in operating robotic systems or similar automated equipment preferably in industrial utility or renewable energy environments.
Strong understanding of robotic and automated systems
Basic knowledge of SCADA system operation and monitoring
Ability to interpret OEM manuals technical instructions and maintenance procedures
Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
