Job Title: Tech PM for BNPL

Term: 12 months

Location: West Bay Doha Qatar

Division: Cards & Payments

Reports to: Head of Product- Cards

Relevant experience: 10 years (preferably in project management within traditional banking environments)

Mandatory requirements:

Strong payments technology. Project Management background with business orientation (Cards)
Professional proficiency in English
Experience in cards domain (debit credit prepaid) and BNPL solutions
Knowledge of UAE/GCC regulatory frameworks for digital onboarding

PURPOSE OF THE PROJECT

The Techno-Functional Project Manager will act as the interface between the Cards Product team and Technology team ensuring seamless delivery of strategic initiatives such as BNPL card launch One-Credential implementation digital onboarding and loyalty migration. This role demands a strong technology background combined with business acumen to drive projects to completion within aggressive timelines.

Key Activities

Core Responsibilities and Accountabilities

Project Leadership: Manage end-to-end delivery of BNPL card and One-Credential projects ensuring alignment with business objectives and technical feasibility. Oversee digital onboarding initiatives to enable instant credit card issuance
Drive loyalty platform migration and ensure operational readiness.
Stakeholder Management: Serve as the primary liaison between product technology compliance and operations teams. Facilitate workshops to define requirements and solution design.
Technical & Business Integration: Translate business requirements into technical specifications and ensure smooth integration with card issuance platforms APIs and fraud engines. Monitor compliance with KYC/AML and regulatory standards.
Execution & Governance: Develop and maintain project plans risk registers and governance documentation. Track milestones manage dependencies and escalate issues proactively.
Testing & Quality Assurance: Oversee SIT UAT and certification testing for new features and platforms.
Ensure robust performance monitoring post-launch.

Knowledge and Experience

Strong technology background with proven ability to manage complex integrations.
Expertise in card issuance systems BNPL solutions tokenization and digital onboarding.
Familiarity with loyalty platforms and migration strategies.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
PMP or equivalent certification preferred.
Tokenization and network tokens.
3DS risk flows and fraud management.
GCC regulatory familiarity with cards and BNPL.
Full cards lifecycle knowledge (authorization clearing/settlement).
EMV certification and scheme compliance basics.
Digital onboarding processes and API integration.
Disputes/chargebacks lifecycle.
