Tailor

Reporting to the Senior Laundry Supervisor responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following: 

• Consistently offers professional engaging and friendly service
• To fix and repair linen. uniforms drapery etc
• Minor mending or alterations to Guest garments
• To ensure repairs are made in a timely fashion
• To make sure workplace is orderly kept and surfaces are cleaned daily
• To assist with inventories when required
• Helps out on other duties deemed necessary within linen/laundry area
• Report to Supervisor any equipment malfunctioning or anything which may be a Health & Safety hazard
• Attend any training courses given by Housekeeping/Human Resources Department
• To make sure all Health and Safety matters are observed

Qualifications :

1. High School diploma vocational training and/or 1 year work experience
2. Fluency in ***local language*** essential
3. Basic understanding of the English language desirable
4. Ability to lift/carry requirements up to 25 lbs.
5. Previous experience in luxury hotel housekeeping department desirable
