Provides patients with urological care including diagnosis pre operative care all major and minor operative procedures in the field of urology and postoperative treatment. Provides preventive care of patients according to approved procedure as part of an integrated program of curative and preventive services.
Scope
Incumbent is a urologic surgeon who provides consultation & attending care including care for complicated cases which are within their competence.
- Provides comprehensive and diligent urological care to all assigned patients including pre and postoperative care and such urological procedures as are within incumbents competence.
- Performs professional duties at district clinics at which out patient urological care is to be rendered to patients as assigned
- Provides consultation services to physicians and other surgeons and specialists on in/outpatient casesassigned to incumbent
- Assumes afterhours responsibility for the care of assigned surgical cases and makes daily rounds for those hospitalized
- Refers to specialists or consults with them on those cases which are beyond his skill or experience
- Adheres to the Bylaws and Rules and Regulations of the Medical Department and assures that work performed is in keeping with the established standards of the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Hospitals.
- Consults with the anesthetist on the choice of anesthesia to be used
- Maintains complete and accurate records of all assigned cases
- Consults with the Chief Surgeon when considering a patient for repatriation or outofKingdom referral.
- Participates in and contributes to inservice activities such as lectures conferences and rounds
- Performs other miscellaneous related duties as requested by the Chief Surgeon.
Requirements
To be considered you need to meet the following requirements:
- Experience From US (Board) Canada (Royal College Fellowship) UK (CCT) Ireland (CSD CSCST) Australia &NZ (Fellowship) And Other European Countries According To The Qualification Equivalence Tables Of The SCFHS.
- 3 Years Experience post specialty in a Hospital based in Western Europe Central America South Africa and Australasia
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
- Fluency in written and spoken English
