- Manage and maintain Proxmox hypervisor environments.
- Oversee the management of Linux servers including provisioning scaling and performance tuning.
- Implement and manage containerized environments using Docker.
- Orchestrate container deployments and manage clusters using Kubernetes.
- Implement and manage backup solutions to ensure data integrity and availability.
- Develop and execute disaster recovery strategies.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning configuration management and application deployments using scripting languages such as Python and Bash.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to streamline the software development lifecycle.
- Configure and manage reverse proxies to ensure optimal load balancing caching and secure communication between clients and servers.
- Oversee network operations related to infrastructure and service delivery.
- Collaborate with the Security Engineer to ensure network operations are secure and compliant.
- Work closely with development teams to integrate DevOps practices into the development process.
- Collaborate with the Security Engineer to embed security within the CI/CD pipelines and overall infrastructure.
- Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in the infrastructure.
- Optimize system performance to ensure high availability and scalability.
Requirements
- Bachelors Degree in Information Technology or a related field required.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in DevOps with a strong background in infrastructure management and automation.
- Proficiency with Proxmox hypervisor and Linux servers.
- Extensive experience with containerization using Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes.
- Strong scripting skills (Python Bash).
- Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform Ansible.
- Experience with configuring and managing reverse proxies (e.g. Caddy Nginx HAProxy).
- Understanding of network management in a DevOps context.
- Experience working closely with security teams to implement security practices within DevOps workflows.
- Strong problemsolving abilities excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach.
- Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) or equivalent.
