Job Summary
We are seeking an accomplished General Manager / Director – Logistics & Warehousing to lead optimize and transform large-scale logistics and warehousing operations. This is a strategic business-critical role responsible for directing end-to-end supply chain functions driving operational excellence and ensuring high performance across logistics distribution inventory management transportation and warehouse operations.
The ideal candidate is a visionary leader with deep expertise in logistics strategy automation warehousing best practices and high-volume operations management.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
Develop and execute long-term logistics and warehousing strategies aligned with business goals.
Lead transformation initiatives focused on process optimization automation and digitalization.
Establish KPIs performance standards and operational benchmarks to ensure continuous improvement.
Provide strategic direction on supply chain planning capacity management and network optimization.
Operational Management
Oversee daily logistics warehousing transport and distribution operations across multiple sites.
Ensure efficiency in inbound/outbound logistics order fulfillment and last-mile delivery.
Implement best practices in warehouse layout material handling inventory accuracy and safety standards.
Drive operational compliance quality assurance and cost optimization across all logistics functions.
People & Team Leadership
Lead mentor and develop large cross-functional teams including warehouse transport and logistics personnel.
Foster a culture of accountability performance excellence and continuous learning.
Support succession planning and workforce capability development.
Financial & Performance Management
Manage logistics and warehousing budgets cost control and resource allocation.
Analyze data identify operational gaps and execute corrective actions.
Ensure strong vendor management contract negotiation and SLA adherence.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with procurement commercial supply chain planning operations and senior leadership teams.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to enhance service levels streamline processes and meet business objectives.
Represent the logistics and warehousing function in executive meetings and strategic planning discussions.
Qualifications & Experience
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Logistics Supply Chain Management Engineering Business Administration or related field.
Master’s degree (MBA or equivalent) preferred.
Experience
10-12 years of progressive experience in logistics warehousing and supply chain management.
Minimum 5 years in a senior leadership role overseeing large-scale logistics or distribution operations.
Proven track record in operational transformation automation and performance optimization.
Experience with high-volume multi-site logistics operations is highly preferred.
Skills & Competencies
Strong leadership and team management abilities.
Expertise in warehouse management systems (WMS) ERP platforms and logistics technologies.
Exceptional analytical decision-making and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage complex operational challenges.
