The Role

Were looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Internal Accountant to join our team. Youll work closely with the founding team to take over accounting operations from our external firm ensure compliance with IFRS standards and establish efficient and reliable financial processes.

This is a high-impact role for someone who enjoys working in fast-paced environments thrives on autonomy and wants to play a key part in shaping the financial infrastructure of a growing startup.

Key Responsibilities

Own day-to-day accounting operations including bookkeeping general ledger management and account reconciliations.
Prepare accurate monthly quarterly and annual financial reports in compliance with IFRS standards.
Maintain and improve internal financial controls policies and procedures.
Lead the transition from external accounting services to a fully internal process.
Support budgeting forecasting and cash flow management in collaboration with leadership.
Manage and reconcile payroll expense reports accounts payable/receivable.
Assist with audits tax filings and other statutory compliance requirements.
Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure financial practices align with business goals.

Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field.
3 years of professional accounting experience preferably in a startup or fast-growth company.
Solid understanding of IFRS accounting standards.
Hands-on experience with bookkeeping reconciliation and financial reporting.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. Xero QuickBooks or similar); familiarity with ERP systems is a plus.
Strong analytical skills and high attention to detail.
Self-starter with excellent organizational and communication skills.
Comfortable working remotely and independently.
