Summary:

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Bakery and Pastry Chef to join our dynamic culinary team in a fast-paced high-quality food service environment. This role is central to crafting exceptional baked goods and desserts that reflect both artistry and consistency ensuring an unforgettable guest experience. The ideal candidate will bring creativity precision and a deep understanding of baking techniques ingredients and food safety standards. As a key contributor to menu development and daily production the Bakery and Pastry Chef will play a vital role in maintaining brand integrity driving innovation and supporting operational excellence. This position offers an opportunity to work with premium ingredients lead a dedicated kitchen team and contribute to a culture of excellence in a growing food brand.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop test and execute new pastry and baked goods recipes in alignment with brand standards and seasonal themes.
  • Oversee daily production of breads pastries cakes desserts and specialty items with consistent quality and presentation.
  • Manage inventory of ingredients ensuring freshness proper storage and minimizing waste through effective planning.
  • Maintain strict adherence to food safety hygiene and sanitation protocols in compliance with local regulations and company standards.
  • Supervise and mentor junior kitchen staff providing guidance on techniques safety and workflow efficiency.
  • Collaborate with the executive chef and kitchen team to support menu planning cost control and seasonal offerings.
  • Monitor equipment performance and coordinate maintenance or repairs as needed.
  • Ensure accurate documentation of production logs waste reports and quality checks.
  • Participate in staff training sessions and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.


Requirements

Requirements:

  • 13 years of hands-on experience as a Bakery and Pastry Chef or in a similar role within a commercial kitchen or food service environment.
  • Proven expertise in baking pastry arts and confectionery including bread making cake decorating and dessert plating.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety standards HACCP principles and sanitation practices.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines during peak service periods.
  • Creativity and attention to detail in both execution and presentation of baked goods.
  • Proficiency in using kitchen equipment such as mixers ovens proofers and decorating tools.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; formal culinary arts certification or diploma is highly preferred.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends holidays and early mornings.
