Role Overview

We are looking for a Backend Developer to join our Amman team. You will build and maintain backend services that power our production and supply-chain platforms. You should be strong in Python (FastAPI) or Go and comfortable working in an agile product-focused environment.

Tasks

Design develop and maintain backend services and APIs for our web and mobile applications
Implement clean testable and well-documented code using Python (FastAPI) or Go
Work closely with frontend / mobile developers product managers and the German team to deliver new features
Integrate with internal and external systems (databases IoT devices third-party APIs)
Optimize performance reliability and scalability of backend systems
Write and maintain unit/integration tests and support CI/CD pipelines
Participate in code reviews architecture discussions and sprint ceremonies
Help improve our architecture and technical standards as we scale the platform

Requirements

2 years of experience as a backend developer
Strong experience with either: Python and FastAPI (or similar frameworks like Django / Flask) or Go (Golang) building backend APIs and services
Bachelors degree in Computer Science Software Engineering or equivalent experience
Good understanding of RESTful APIs and microservice concepts
Solid experience with relational databases (e.g. PostgreSQL MySQL)
Experience with Git and modern development workflows
Basic knowledge of Docker and containerized environments
Comfortable working in an agile/scrum setup
Good communication skills in English

Nice to Have

Experience with message queues (e.g. RabbitMQ Kafka)
Experience with cloud platforms (Azure AWS or GCP)
Experience in manufacturing logistics or industrial software
Experience with authentication/authorization (JWT OAuth2 etc.)
Experience working with IoT devices or edge systems is a plus
