We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Accountant specializing in Roads Operations and Maintenance (O&M) to join our team in Doha this role you will be responsible for managing the financial aspects of our road infrastructure projects ensuring accurate reporting and providing valuable insights to support decision-making processes.
- Manage all accounting operations related to road O&M projects including accounts payable accounts receivable and general ledger maintenance
- Prepare and analyze financial statements reports and budgets specific to road infrastructure projects
- Develop and maintain project-based accounting systems to track costs and revenues effectively
- Collaborate with project managers to ensure accurate financial tracking and reporting of road O&M activities
- Conduct regular financial analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve operational efficiency
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and long-term financial forecasts for road O&M projects
- Ensure compliance with local and international accounting standards and regulations
- Participate in internal and external audits providing necessary documentation and explanations
- Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard financial assets and ensure data integrity
- Prepare and present financial reports to management highlighting key performance indicators and trends
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field
- Minimum of 3-5 years of accounting experience preferably in the infrastructure or construction industry
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks SAP) and advanced Excel skills
- Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Experience with project-based accounting and financial reporting
- Familiarity with road infrastructure projects and O&M accounting practices
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- Effective communication skills both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines
